This dance called Karma Nach where Karma means fate is celebrated in Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. The people devotedly worship the god of fate also known as Karam Devta through this folk dance. The people believe that everything happens due to the wishes of the God of fate which is the primary cause of good or bad fortune.
